Briercliffe Community Football Club was established in June 2019 by Briercliffe Community Hub to see a continued provision for sports at grassroots levels represented in our community.
Since then we have been subject to a challenging run of anti-social behaviour, theft and criminal damage from the Club’s headquarters at Queen Street Recreation Ground including theft of lawn care equipment, breaking and entering and damage/theft of IT equipment donated to the Club from local businesses.
After our most recent break-in, Scott Chapman, owner of recently established Scope Fire & Security contacted the Club with a very generous offer that couldn’t have come at a better time. Scope offered to supply and install a 24-hour monitored alarm system with keyholder and Police response to protect the main building and outbuildings.
The alarm system is connected to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with nominated keyholders and Police, notified in the event of alarm activation, attempted break-in or damage to the system.
Thanks to Scope, Briercliffe Community FC can continue development of the building and the areas around it, safe in the knowledge that our time and investments will be protected.
Louise Haines, current Chair of Briercliffe Community Football Club commented:
“This is a very generous offer from Scott and the team at Scope, for which we are very grateful, and thanks to them we can now start to build on our plans for the Community and the Club, knowing that our assets and our investments will be protected.”Louise Haines, Club Chairperson
We are pleased to acknowledge Scope Fire & Security as a new sponsor for the Club.
